Holly-Hunter

Holly Hunter is an American producer and actress who has been recognized for her highly laudable performance in films such as Broadcast News The Firm The Piano and The Incredibles. Her work has been recognized with several awards for her work, including an Oscar. Her acting career began with Broadway through a myriad of Broadway as well as Off Broadway projects. The art of acting has been a constant passion. In fifth grade, she played Helen Keller in an original play. The fifth grade was the year that due to mumps, she lost her hearing in the left ear. However, she did not let it stop her from performing. In her early years, she studied drama in college before moving to New York City from Pittsburgh in order to achieve her goals. After a casual encounter, she got trapped in an elevator along with the playwright Beth Henley and the two collaborated in the play 'The Broadway Crimes of the Heart that made Hunter's debut. When she moved to Los Angeles, she began looking for roles in films. Her first film role was as an actress supporting the leading character Swing Shift. Since then she has appeared in numerous films and TV movies and series in a long career that spans more than three decades. Holly Hunter won a star at the Hollywood Walk of Fame, in addition to her Women in Film Lucy Award.
